NEWS
8th December 2011
Months are flying by. I’ve finished a book that took me around 4 months to illustrate, and can’t wait to reveal that to you when it is on shelves in May 2012.
In other news I’ve just finished a few intensive weeks creating an amazing papercut design for Roc Candy in the piccadilly arcade Perth. It is up for view between the 2nd of December and the 24th of December. In total there are 12 windows to view across Perth created by artists like myself.
Pickup a map of the trail here. View the brochure here.
A few amazing facts about the papercut.
48 hours of cutting over 6 days
4 hours of installation / de-install
All cut by hand
1 scalpel, 4 blades
12 sheets of paper as well as small coloured sheets for the bird details
Window bauble decals have shapes that match the xmas themed roc candy. The two turtle doves match the colour and shape of the special turtle dove roc candy made for the event
The panel measures 1.9m x 2.8m and the side panel measures 1.9m x 44cm.
One more commissioned painting to finish and I’m taking an extended leave to finish some new paintings, starting with an artists residency in Beverley in January.
Wishing you a wonderful Christmas and a lovely New Year.

Welcome to the new website! I hope you can find everything easily, I’d love to hear your feedback.
Time is flying by. I’ve just finished illustrating a recipe book that will be released in May 2012. Can’t wait to tell you more about that in the coming months. Meanwhile I’m working on creating lots of new things with my hands to supplement the artworks. I’ve been playing around with ceramics, sewing bows, stringing chain together for jewellery and sketching up designs for brooches.
This year has been another interesting one for the business, we’ve now reached four years of age. I’ve been fixing up the ‘business’ side of things which means whilst I’ve been creating artwork, I haven’t been able to work on as much as I wanted to. I can now happily say that now I’m looking forward to the next year which WILL be spent creating. I’ve got artist residencies lined up, I’m working on a huge body of work for a solo exhibition, and creating a lot of other great things such as bunting, paper dolls, fabric, colouring in books and much more.
Welcome to my world, I hope it inspires you!
